Do not overfill grinder, pressure on the beans will cause inconsistent grinding. This works for my coarse french press grind, medium pour over, and fine Aeropress. While the Hario mini mill does seem to get more consistent with finer grinds, I would not put hand-milled beans into my espresso machine unless I had no other choice.
