To age nickel parts, I usually wipe them down really well to remove fingerprints. Then I get a tupperware container and put some vinegar in it. I put the part on a piece of wood or something to keep it out of the vinegar. Then put the lid on the container. You'll see some tarnishing after about 20 mins.
